Florida Absorbs 5-2 Loss to Anchorage
|
Anchorage and Florida duked it out and the Wheelers came out victorious.
Anchorage picked up a win at Florida Man Park, bumping off the Florida Flamingos, 5-2. Pitcher Scud Muffin was a major reason the Wheelers emerged victorious. Daniel Armstrong earned the save, his 2nd in 2 tries.
Anchorage used the hitting of Henry Magik to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wheelers on top, 5-2. For the game, Magik had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Muffin.
The loss makes Florida 50-47.
