The Florida Flamingos beat the Brew City Bears, 7-4 -- though it took them 11 innings. Florida catcher Homer Simpson had a pretty good game. He was 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Jimmy Key-Largo [BOT] got the save, his 11th in 13 chances. By defeating Brew City, the second-place Flamingos improved to 52-45.

Simpson had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 0-1 fastball from Pedro Papelbottom, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Flamingos a 6-4 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Simpson.
