The Nashville Stars did just enough to sneak past the Death Valley Scorpions, 5-4, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Nashville pitcher Zach Mulder, in particular, had a standout performance. In 7 innings, Mulder surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 5. He allowed 3 runs. Picking up the save was Skooma Skooma-kun, his 1st.

Nashville used the clutch hitting of Tommy Callahan to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Stars the lead, 5-3. For the game, Callahan had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
