Extra-Inning Win by Swift Steeds Over Hepcats
|
The winning streak continued for State College.
Kansas City got a terrific game from right fielder David Lavenski. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to State College, 7-6. Lavenski went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The wins continue to add up for State College, with the latest making it 11 in a row.
State College used the clutch hitting of Bandit Heeler to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to give the Swift Steeds the lead, 7-6. For the game, Heeler had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"This is a resilient bunch," said State College manager .
