Justice Excels in 9-3 Kansas City Win
|
The Kansas City Hepcats beat the Anchorage Wheelers, 9-3, at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark. The Hepcats got a fine performance from first baseman A.J. Justice, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Kansas City reliever Luke Sidaway got the win, raising his record to 5-3. Andre Pope was tagged with the loss. Jose Jakob Jingleheimer Schmidt earned the save, his 3rd in 4 tries.
Total Dial, who is tied for 4th in the MiLPBE in triples with 3, aided the Kansas City cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder was 2-3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Dial said after the game.
The win gives Kansas City a season record of 55-43.
