Brew City Bears starter Mac John was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Puerto Rico Ranas, 7-6. The last-place Ranas have lost 4 straight games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Brew City first baseman Lara Croft, facing Kerry Berry, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bears the 7-6 win.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Croft said.
