Anchorage first baseman Peter Dawson III was sensational. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Puerto Rico beat the Wheelers, 4-3. The Ranas now have a record of 26-69.

There were several reasons the Ranas beat the Wheelers, but one factor was Sim Breaker. In the top of the fourth, the Puerto Rico center fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 4-3 lead.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Ranas manager . "This one was nice to get."
