Amarillo and Chicago duked it out and the Armadillos came out victorious.

The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Chicago Kingpins by the score of 7-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Chorizo McTater. McTater went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Armadillos on the day. The win went to Tayalamp Battalemo in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Marcus DaWorm took the loss.

McTater had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 splitter from Marcus DaWorm, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Armadillos a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for McTater.

"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager .

This win makes it 6 in a row for Amarillo.
