|
Amarillo left fielder Jed Bowal was a significant contributor in his team's 9-0 triumph over the Anchorage Wheelers. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs for Amarillo. With the win, the Armadillos improved to 45-50.
Rob Banks had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Amarillo. He came through with a 2-run single to put Amarillo in front, 4-0.
Armadillos manager had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
