Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Brew City Bears and Chicago Kingpins.

The Brew City Bears picked up a win at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House, taking down the Chicago Kingpins, 3-1. Starting pitcher Liru Wolf was a big reason why. Wolf, the winner, moves to 3-9. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Pedro Peregrino recorded his 5th save for Brew City.

Early in the game, designated hitter Xhektoe had a 2-run double for Brew City. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Bears on top, 2-0.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Xhektoe. "And not try to do too much."

Brew City is in 4th place in the West Division with a record of 46-50.
