Wheelers Deal Ranas 6-4 Defeat

The Anchorage Wheelers topped the Puerto Rico Ranas, 6-4, with first baseman Misty Morning playing a big role. Morning went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Wheelers in the win. Greg Buse nailed down his 12th save. The victory gives Anchorage a record of 50-49.
The Wheelers had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 6-4, Anchorage, with no one out. Puerto Rico, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Nathan Murphy dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 changeup, he flied out.
