Jonny Tom, who is tied for 2nd in the MiLPBE in complete games with 3, pitched well, but the California Firehawks still fell short, losing, 2-1, to the Amarillo Armadillos at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. Kaitlyn Montreal, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 6-8. Oil Can Sampson earned the save for Amarillo, his 2nd.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Armadillos had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when catcher Chorizo McTater hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jonny Tom and made the score 2-1, Armadillos. McTater was 3 for 3 with 3 singles.
