Swift Steeds Win at Home, 6-2
|
The exploits of second baseman Aiala Pavo, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in triples with 3, helped the State College Swift Steeds defeat the Chicago Kingpins, 6-2. Pavo went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. The win went to Twain Teetoo [BOT] in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Jazz Hands took the loss. With this game in the books, State College is 43-56, Chicago 51-48.
Pavo had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the sixth. On a 3-1 slider from Jazz Hands, he banged a bases-clearing triple to right-center, giving the Swift Steeds a 3-2 lead. It was the 3rd triple of the year for Pavo.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Pavo told the State College Gazette.
