Armadillos Deal Lemurs 6-2 Defeat

At Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle, the Louisville Lemurs and Amarillo Armadillos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Amarillo pitcher Leo Gonzalez did his part in helping his team defeat the Louisville Lemurs, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The victory gives Amarillo a record of 53-46.
The Lemurs had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Armadillos going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old center fielder Joe Anderson came to the plate. Anderson hit a bases-clearing double on a first pitch screwball from Louisville hurler Wishiwa Sadillo [BOT]. It was Anderson's 8th double of the year.
Amarillo manager commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
