Mac John Blanks Death Valley, 1-0
|
Mac John was in a mood to talk following the Nashville Stars contest against the Death Valley Scorpions, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Scorpions, 1-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," John said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Death Valley on a 1-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 10 strikeouts.
This season, John has a 2-2 record with a 1.98 ERA.
