Brew City Gets 7-1 Win
|
Behind a fine performance from Jim Lahey, the Brew City Bears knocked off the State College Swift Steeds , 7-1. Lahey went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Bears. With the victory, the Bears upped their record to 50-47.
Lahey contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Brew City in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Lahey took a fastball from PK-VS and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Bears to leap in front, 3-1.
"I thought we played a nice game," Lahey told the Brew City News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
