Hepcats Drop Lemurs, 3-2
|
Colby Renslow pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Louisville Lemurs, despite Renslow's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Kansas City Hepcats at Kenny Payne Appreciation Stadium. Kansas City now has a record of 60-39 with the win.
Kansas City relied on the hitting of Ford Lincoln-Mercury to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hepcats on top, 3-1. For the game, Lincoln-Mercury had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Kansas City manager . "It's usually not just one thing."
