The Amarillo Armadillos downed the Louisville Lemurs, 2-0, at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. Stellar pitching by Hugh Jazz had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the MiLPBE in innings pitched with 161.2, handcuffed his opponent all game. Amarillo is now 50-50, Louisville 51-49.

The Armadillos liked what they saw from Jazz. The 22-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Lemurs to no runs on 6 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 6.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Amarillo skipper .
