Anchorage and Puerto Rico duked it out and the Wheelers came out victorious.

Anchorage picked up a win at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium, toppling the Puerto Rico Ranas, 2-0. Pitcher Thunder Miller was one of the reasons the Wheelers triumphed. Miller went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 9-5. Remy Lebeau, credited with the save, is now 15 for 18 in save opportunities.

Anchorage used the timely hitting of Peter Dawson III to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wheelers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Dawson III called the win "a team effort."

Anchorage leads the West Division by 3½ games.
