Chudigal Son pitched well, but his team, the Chicago Kingpins, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Brew City Bears at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. The West Division-leading Bears are 61-40.
The Bears had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Brew City, with no one out. Chicago, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Showtime Jones dug in at the plate, but on a full count cutter, he struck out.
