David Sears, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in strikeouts with 104, had a strong outing for the California Firehawks against the Florida Flamingos at Florida Man Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. California is now 49-52, Florida 54-47.
Eun Seong had a direct impact on the outcome. Seong contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put California up, 4-3.
After the game, California manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
