Bears Win at State College, 12-5
|
Brew City second baseman AJ Boucher contributed to his team's 12-5 win over the State College Swift Steeds . Boucher, who is rated as the 94th best prospect by BNN, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bears. Maximillion Porter got the win, improving to 11-8. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 4. With the win, Brew City upped its record to 51-47.
With Brew City leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Boucher hit a cutter from Maddog Thornberry for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Bears ahead, 3-0.
"Feels good to get the job done," Boucher said after the game.
