The Anchorage Wheelers beat the Puerto Rico Ranas, 16-3, at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. Anchorage first baseman Ted Giannoulas had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 4 times. Jake Mitchell Jr. was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Puerto Rico has now lost 13 straight.
Cam'Ron Bailey III, the 20-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bailey III contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Anchorage up, 1-0.
