Wheelers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Armadillos, 4-3
Anchorage beat Amarillo on the strength of starting pitcher Scud Muffin's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Anchorage occupies last place in the West Division at 49-52.

In the bottom of the eighth, with one out and the game tied, 2-2, 24-year old shortstop Samie Parker won it for Anchorage. With a runner on 2nd, Parker hit a full count fastball from Carroll Niedfeldt for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Muffin after the game.
