Florida Gets 13-Inning, 4-3 Win
The Florida Flamingos finished things off in style.

The performance of Homer Simpson proved critical in helping Florida beat Chicago, 4-3, in 13 innings. The Flamingos catcher went 2-3 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Skyler Stevens earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 5-4.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jimmy Lumber in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a solo home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Bodhi Grizz to win the game for Florida. The home crowd went nuts.

Lumber attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."

With the win, the Flamingos sit at 58-43.
