Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old designated hitter Paulie Wag, the Florida Flamingos stopped the State College Swift Steeds , 7-2. Moe Mentum went 6.1 innings for Florida to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs. He scattered 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. His record improves to 12-4. The first-place Flamingos have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

With Florida leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Wag hit a run-scoring single off State College hurler Spencer Bearer. It was the 116th hit of the season for Wag and put his team ahead, 3-1.
