The Amarillo Armadillos withstood a fine game by Anchorage catcher Dean Ice at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo, to upend the Wheelers, 10-6. Ice went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Amarillo pitcher Marsh Mellow Jr. got the win, upping his record to 13-3. Daniel Armstrong got the loss. The Armadillos, at 56-46, sit in second place in the West Division.

In the top of the seventh, Amarillo second baseman Marcus Otatop had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Anchorage hurler Daniel Armstrong, Otatop hit a sacrifice fly. That made the score 6-4, Amarillo. For the day, Otatop was 1 for 4.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Otatop.
