Flamingos Fall to Bears, 3-1
|
The Brew City Bears had to overcome a good performance from Florida pitcher Stu Macher to claim a 3-1 win at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Macher went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Max Lovehammer got credit for the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. Brew City now has a record of 59-43 with the win.
Brew City took a 3-1 lead on Melo Misteur's 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Florida pitcher Barry Balls in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Misteur.
