Puerto Rico designated hitter Daddy Blaney was a significant contributor in his team's 6-5 triumph over the Kansas City Hepcats. He went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Puerto Rico. The Ranas sport a record of 27-75.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Blaney hit a cutter from Bajigy Casmyl for a run-scoring single. The Ranas, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
