Wheelers Upend Flamingos, 8-7
Peyton Shoelace did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Florida Flamingos from being beaten, 8-7, to the Anchorage Wheelers at Florida Man Park. Shoelace was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Cassie Macallen picked up his 6th save of the season. Anchorage is now 40-62, while Florida is 61-41.

Anchorage used a well-timed hit by T.J. Fakemuto to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Wheelers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Fakemuto.
