Firehawks Edge Lemurs, 2-1
|
PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons hosted a real pitchers' duel.
California starter Slippin' Jimmy put a stranglehold on the Louisville offense. The left-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Firehawks to a 2-1 win. The Firehawks have a winning streak of 4 games.
With two out in the bottom of the third, Salvatore Bonpensiero barreled up a cutter from Cybernetically Enhanced RoboDibble. The result was a solo home run, putting the Firehawks in front, 2-0.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Jimmy said after the game.
