Kansas City Downed, 4-2, by Kingpins
|
The Kansas City Hepcats got a sterling performance from pitcher Christian Summers, but the Chicago Kingpins still prevailed, 4-2. Summers threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The win puts Chicago at 64-39 this season.
Chicago used the timely hitting of Casper Blaze to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kingpins on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Blaze called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
