Swift Steeds Pick Up 3-1 Win Against Chicago
The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago Kingpins and State College Swift Steeds get after it.

State College Swift Steeds starter Kris Rice was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Chicago Kingpins, 3-1. Communist Daughter [BOT] earned the save, his 5th.

The Swift Steeds got a big at-bat from catcher Dusty Backstop. For the game, Backstop went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 23rd home run of the season gave State College a 2-0 lead.

"Kris pitched like a champ," said State College manager .

The win gives State College a season record of 61-43.
