Bears Beat Swift Steeds , 9-6
|
The State College Swift Steeds and Brew City Bears were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
A good performance from center fielder Geoff Bass helped the Brew City Bears defeat the State College Swift Steeds , 9-6. Bass was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bears. The Bears go to 49-53, putting them 4th in the West Division.
Brew City second baseman AJ Boucher contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 123rd hit of the season and put the Bears ahead, 9-6.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Boucher, "and go after the next one."
