Louisville Tacks 7-3 Loss on Kansas City
|
The Louisville Lemurs beat the Kansas City Hepcats, 7-3, at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. Carlton Beaty, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Louisville raised its record to 54-50 with the win.
Rolly Polly had a big 3-run home run for the Lemurs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Louisville trailing 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Luke Sidaway, who is tied for 6th in the MiLPBE with a 6.9 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Lemurs on top, 5-3.
Beaty called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
