Penley Socks 2 Home Runs in 8-3 Chicago Win
|
The Chicago Kingpins topped the Brew City Bears, 8-3, with center fielder Dylan Penley playing a big role. Penley was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Kingpins in the win. Nicholas Huizenga got the win, improving to 11-11. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 run, while striking out 1 and walking 3. Chicago now sits in third place in the East Division at 39-63.
With Chicago leading 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Penley hit a slider from Pedro Peregrino for a grand slam home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and put the Kingpins ahead, 8-1.
"We played hard and won," said Penley. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
