Swift Steeds Stay Hot With 4-2 Win
|
The State College Swift Steeds extended their winning streak.
The State College Swift Steeds handed the Puerto Rico Ranas a loss at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Major production was provided by D.W. Dogmaple for State College. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 1. He also added 1 walk. Twain Teetoo converted his 6th save in 7 tries.
State College used a well-timed hit by Press Duckley Jr. to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Swift Steeds ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Swift Steeds manager , "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
The Ranas have now dropped 9 straight.
