The Anchorage Wheelers beat the Amarillo Armadillos, 5-2, at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. Anchorage designated hitter Rachel Morimura had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs. Pythagoras earned the win for Anchorage. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 6-10. The Wheelers go to 40-67 with the win.

With Anchorage leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Morimura hit a cutter from Zoe D'yak for a solo home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Wheelers ahead, 4-2.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Anchorage manager . "It's usually not just one thing."
