Anchorage starter Bobby Walk put a stranglehold on the California offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Wheelers to a 6-1 win. With the win, Anchorage upped its record to 62-43.

Dan Bacle, the 21-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bacle contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Anchorage up, 1-0.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bacle.
