Despite a fine performance by catcher Bandit Heeler, the State College Swift Steeds lost to the Anchorage Wheelers, 10-8. Heeler went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Anchorage reliever Raffy Benitez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Blain K'Spais was saddled with the loss. The Wheelers, now 60-45, have won 5 in a row.

Dan Bacle was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Anchorage. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth.
