Hepcats Need Extra Innings to Top Lemurs, 8-7
|
Thanks in large part to center fielder Bobby Cru, the Kansas City Hepcats beat the Louisville Lemurs, 8-7. Cru went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. At 58-50, Kansas City is in third place in the West Division.
The Hepcats got a clutch hit from right fielder Thomas Saint-John. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Hepcats.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Cru told the Kansas City Daily, "and we played pretty well tonight."
