Hepcats Walk It Off for 45th Win of Season
|
The Kansas City Hepcats defeated the Anchorage Wheelers, 13-12. Doing his part was left fielder Zen Bobrist, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. At 45-60, the Hepcats are currently last in the West Division.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Kansas City first baseman Ekimkcenrehteal Ekimkcenrehteal, facing Logan James, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Hepcats the 13-12 win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Ekimkcenrehteal told the Kansas City Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."
