Late Rally by Raptors Locks Up 4-2 Win
|
Boise starter The Phantom pitched well against the New York Voyagers at Hammond Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Boise reliever Frosty Steele picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Katsuki Bakugo shouldered the loss. Boise, at 14-4, is off to a blistering start.
Had Beau Nappeteat not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Nappeteat hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Raptors.
Nappeteat called the win "a collective effort."
