Swift Steeds Clip Flamingos, 2-1
|
The State College Swift Steeds got a magnificent effort from pitcher Chicken Noods, who kept Florida hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Swift Steeds win at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. With the win, the Swift Steeds sit at 68-39.
The Swift Steeds got an important contribution from shortstop Bageshwari Singh, who in the bottom of the first hit a changeup into right-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Swift Steeds ahead, 1-0.
"Tough loss," said Florida manager . "But we'll learn from it."
