Kingpins Jolt Hepcats, 4-3, with Late Rally
|
Chicago beat Kansas City at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Chauncey Ingram. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Rakeem Rivers, 9-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. Beeg Yosh picked up the save, his 4th.
Chicago took a 4-3 lead on Mikey Hinckley's 16th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Kansas City pitcher Skinster Mckinley in the bottom of the eighth.
"We played hard and won," said Ingram. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
The Kingpins raised their record to 46-62.
