The Amarillo Armadillos picked up a win at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium, knocking off the State College Swift Steeds , 7-3. On the mound for Amarillo was left-hander Wayne Finch Summers, who played a pivotal role in the win. Calm Chicken got credit for the win, improving to 9-8. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Armadillos, now 67-41, have won 4 in a row.
Amarillo used a timely hit from Stick Man to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Armadillos ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
