|
Hunter Bishop pitched a gem to lead Kansas City to victory over the Louisville Lemurs, 2-0. Bishop, now 5-8, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Jose O'Reily nailed down his 3rd save.
David Lavenski, the 21-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lavenski contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put Kansas City up, 2-0.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Lavenski.
