Scorpions Get Past Toronto for 4-3 Win
|
Quant Tsimicalis Jr. was superb against Toronto. The left-hander, who finished 2nd in the Champions in ERA with 3.03 in 2064, had a circle change that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Scorpions victory. The score was 4-3. Death Valley goes to 63-32. The win puts them 6 games up in their division.
Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Death Valley second baseman Bass Reeves had a chance to be the hero. Facing Toronto pitcher Dusty DeSoto with runners on 1st and 3rd, Reeves, who led the Champions in triples with 9 last year, hit a run-scoring single.
After the game, Death Valley manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
