Behind a fine performance from Damien Thriller, the Buffalo Surge knocked off the Indianapolis Apex, 6-5. Thriller was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Surge. Dolores Clifton, the winning pitcher, improved to 12-5. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 10 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Beta Chapler finished to wrap up his 19th save.

Thriller had a timely hit for Buffalo in the bottom of the seventh. With Indianapolis trailing 5-2, he turned a 2-1 cutter into a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Buffalo.
