The Death Valley Scorpions downed the Providence Crabs, 11-2. The hitting star was first baseman Ted Giannoulas. Giannoulas hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Scorpions. The last-place Crabs have lost 4 consecutive games.

Death Valley used the bat of Bass Reeves to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Reeves told the Death Valley News.
