Vandals Make It 4 In a Row with 8-5 Triumph Over Death Valley

Vancouver picked up a win at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium, bumping off the Death Valley Scorpions, 8-5. Pitcher Maurice Bernard was a major reason the Vandals emerged victorious. Bernard got the win, improving to 4-10. He allowed 4 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Bernard allowed 3 runs. The third-place Vandals have won 4 in a row.
Ashton Lansdell had a big bases-clearing triple for the Vandals in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Vancouver leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a knuckle curve from Billy TheKid and swatted a triple to center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vandals ahead, 4-0.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Vancouver manager .
