Both teams had their chances, but the Cancun Toros eventually prevailed.
Feka Ohi Kau made an impact in the 7-6 Cancun win over Toronto. Ohi Kau, who finished 2nd in the Champions in batting average with .315 last year, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winner was Ryan Lee in relief. His record improves to 7-5. Swingand Amiss took the loss.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Cancun trailing 6-5, Ohi Kau hit a slider from Swingand Amiss for a 2-run home run, giving the Toros the walk-off win.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Ohi Kau said.
The Toros lead the Champions Conference West by 3 games.
