Raptors Nip Rougarous, 7-6
|
In a tight contest at Hammond Park, the Boise Raptors edged the New Orleans Rougarous by the score of 7-6. Boise right fielder Trex Dan, who blasted 2 home runs, was a key contributor. The Raptors, at 47-50, lead by one game in their division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With two out, Dan hit a sinker from Baron Samedi for a solo home run. The Raptors, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It was terrific getting this win," Dan said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
