Surge Prevail, 3-1, Over Toronto
|
In a low-scoring game between Buffalo and Toronto, pitcher Ren Toltraid was excellent. The Buffalo left-hander helped his team knock off the Pathfinders, 3-1. The win belongs to Minerva Madson in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Quant Tsimicalis Jr. took the loss for Toronto. Frigg Delling got the save, his 16th in 21 chances.
Dimpley Splorger took Quant Tsimicalis Jr. deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Surge on top, 3-1. In all, Splorger had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We'll savor this win," Toltraid told the Buffalo Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
The Surge now own a record of 49-51.
