Big Day for Allen in 8-1 Raptors Win
|
Barry Allen was a major contributor to the 8-1 Boise win over Outer Banks. The Raptors first baseman went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Picking up the win was Femini Nomenon. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 1. Boise is now 56-44, 7 games up in the Legends Conference West.
With Boise leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Allen came up to bat against Outer Banks pitcher Lanky Schramm. Allen hit a circle change to center for a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Raptors on top, 4-1.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Allen.
