Voyagers Drop Sloths, 6-4
|
The New York Voyagers topped the San Antonio Sloths, 6-4, in Legends Conference action at The Treehouse. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York first baseman James Dion. Romeo Rosas, 8-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. The Voyagers now have a record of 60-41.
New York used the timely hitting of Oiratnomorfnafsbah Kove to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Voyagers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Dion.
