Sea Serpents Get Past New York, 5-4
|
The Seattle Sea Serpents knocked off the New York Voyagers, 5-4, at The Aquadome. Bookie Metts was a big reason Seattle won. The third baseman went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. New York, with the loss, is still a robust 14-5.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Metts hit a circle change from Romeo McFlourish for a solo home run. The Sea Serpents, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Metts said.
