With 6-5 Win, Toros Improve to 63-42
|
Cancun and New Orleans duked it out and the Toros came out victorious.
The Cancun Toros trumped the New Orleans Rougarous, 6-5, at Full Moon Stadium. Cancun right fielder Troy Murphy was terrific. He went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Pedro Martini was credited with the save for Cancun, his 6th of the season.
Feka Ohi Kau drew 1 walk for Cancun. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off GOAT TANK. It was his 88th RBI of the season.
In postgame comments to the Cancun Observer, Ohi Kau said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The win gives Cancun a season record of 63-42.
