Stars Squelch Apex Offense in Shutout Win

Nashville and Indianapolis got after it at Gibson Soundstage.
Nashville pitcher Phil Donoghue did his part in helping his team beat the Indianapolis Apex, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Donoghue, now 13-9. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6.
The Stars picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Nashville skipper .
With the win, the Stars have a record of 50-55.
