The Vancouver Vandals bested the San Antonio Sloths, 8-2, at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium. Mengie Brolina was one of the standouts. He went 2-4 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Vancouver pitcher Cash Considerations got the win, upping his record to 4-3. Mike Boss III got the loss. Vancouver has now won 4 in a row.

Brolina contributed in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Vancouver get the win.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Brolina told the Vancouver Gazette.
