3-1 Win Makes It 8 Straight for Voyagers
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the New York Voyagers and Buffalo Surge.
The New York Voyagers got a strong performance from pitcher Wallie Choi, who stymied the Buffalo offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Vaughn's House. The winning pitcher was Choi, now 15-6. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. PDub Woods closed the door for New York, picking up his 13th save of the year.
Early in the game, right fielder Ben Kruger had a 2-run double for New York. It was his 23rd double of the season and put the Voyagers on top, 2-0.
Choi called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
The first-place Voyagers have won 8 in a row.
