Vandals Raise Rally Flag, Beat Death Valley, 5-2

Death Valley got a big-time effort from pitcher Billy TheKid, but it wasn't enough to keep the Vancouver Vandals from winning the game, 5-2. TheKid threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Getting the save was Alejandro Abasi, his 3rd. The loss has the Scorpions at 10-9.
One of the clutch hits for Vancouver came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the eighth with one out, Steven Strange, who leads the Legends in extra base hits with 12, hit a run-scoring single to put the Vandals up, 3-2. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 4 with a triple.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Strange said after the game.
