The Cancun Toros knocked off the Boise Raptors, 4-3, in Champions Conference action at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS. Cancun pitcher and Lakeville, Minnesota, native Ryan Lee had an outstanding performance. Samuel Smoltz earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 2-0. Lizzie WOOOOHOOOO recorded the save, his 4th.

Tiernan O'Malrain, who is tied for 10th in the Champions in RBI with 13, helped out the Cancun cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3.

Cancun manager was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

The loss drops Boise to 7-12.
