Scorpions Pull Off Thrilling 2-1 Win in Extras
|
New Orleans wasted a solid 6-inning effort from starting pitcher Jose McForty-Three, losing to Death Valley, 2-1, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. With the win over New Orleans, the Scorpions improved to 48-59.
Death Valley won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Huey Freeman on the mound for New Orleans, catcher Rusty Salmonarms hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Scorpions fans to their feet.
"We put together a nice win," Salmonarms said.
