Space Rangers Win Thriller, 5-2
|
Starting pitcher Indiana Polis was a major factor in the 5-2 Lunar Base Space Rangers triumph over the New York Voyagers. Lunar Base reliever Iceman picked up the win to move to 1-0. Taylor Adkins suffered the loss. The Space Rangers, with only their 4th win in 20 games, could be the worst team in the league.
Lunar Base won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Taylor Adkins on the mound for New York, left fielder Link Althouse hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Space Rangers fans to their feet.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Althouse said.
