Scorpions Lose By a Run at Outer Banks
|
The Outer Banks Aviators got a stellar effort from pitcher Sniper King, helping Outer Banks score a win over the visiting Death Valley Scorpions, 2-1. Joe Kelly collected his 2nd save. The win gives Outer Banks a record of 10-10.
Curtis Jones dealt the Scorpions a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Outer Banks leading 1-0, Jones, who is tied for 7th in the Legends in doubles with 6, hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"It feels good to get this one," Jones told the Outer Banks Observer.
